Giulio Gonella is an architect and educator, currently a PhD candidate in Architecture, History and Project at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He is completing a dissertation on plantation ecologies and the environmental-colonial continuum in North Sumatra, Indonesia. His other research interests include border violence, regimes of visuality, and the evidentiary life of images. His writing has appeared in Volume, Dérivations, lo Squaderno, Il Giornale dell’Architettura, and the art forum L’Internationale Online.

Richard Lee Peragine is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Urbanism at the Department of Architecture, Università degli Studi di Ferrara and an Associate Fellow at the Center of Advanced and Post-doctoral Research (CAPRIS), University of Skopje “Ss. Cyril and Methodius”. His work focuses on the critical intersections between planning, political ecology and the government of migration, mainly in the Western Balkans and Italy.
