Elise holds a MA in Design Cultures from the Free University of Amsterdam, as well as a previous BA in Comparative Arts and Media Studies. She wrote her master’s dissertation on ways in which modern boutiques in previously ‘down-and-out’ neighbourhoods use store design as a marketing tool. Having previously lived in New York City, she is interested in all things “New York-ish”. Her broader research interests include urban regeneration, interior design, product design, and advertising.
