João Paupério and Maria Rebelo studied architecture at Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto. Since then, they have been thinking, practicing and writing together. They have both worked for Baukunst, in Brussels, between 2015 and 2018. Currently, João is doing a PhD on the relations between peripherality and emancipation through the work of Lacaton & Vassal. Alongside her personal research, Maria is currently working for Atelier da Bouça, in Porto. Together, they develop an autonomous architectural practice.
